RE: Getting ready for RHCE
I have not personally taken the RHCE, so I can't say for certain which books
are the best preparation. However, I am a large fan of the O'Reilly
Nutshell series. Looking at the RH300 outline, I'd think the two best
"books" would be "Learning Red Hat Linux" and "The Networking CD Bookshelf".
I've only gone through "Learning Red Hat Linux" once, but it seemed well put
together and handy for learning the particulars of Red Hat. "The Networking
CD Bookshelf", on the other hand, I own personally and find invaluable.
TCP/IP, DNS, Sendmail, and Security all in one package and searchable!
Truly wonderful. I had actually bought 4 of the books individually before
picking up the CD. The ability to search was well worth the extra $80.
As for Y2K, haven't been working on that since about June. We're all
focused on the European financial situation (4 decimal place currency, what
fun) and porting applications to Linux (there's starting to be serious money
in Linux apps).

Subject: Getting ready for RHCE
Oh wise Linux users,
I asked before about some good books to use to learn RedHat Linux
operations. I did not receive a good response but, someone stated something
about a red hat bible for preparation of taking the Red Hat Certified
Engineer program.
I am asking, is there some good books for this testing and learning. I would
like to order them for our office and study for our RHCE.
If anyone has ISBN numbers, Prices, and locations of these books it would
greatly help.
Happy New Year.
What are computers dudes going to talk about now, since the Y2K was not a
problem.
P.S. Does anyone know where I can pick up a cheap generator?
