Can't print with Redhat 6.1??

I installed Red Hat 6.1 and can't get the local printer to work.  I 
had no problems with RH 6.0 when the install provided a printer setup. 
 

This latest install did not have a printer setup.  I ran "printtool" 
from the command line and it did not find my printer port which it has 
done in the past.  When I run "cat /proc/devices" I did not see lp as 
device number 6.  There was no entry for device number 6.  Gee, what's 
up??
