Fixing a dead keyboard-repeat
I've no idea why this happens, but occasionally it does. I came back
to work after the holidays to find that the keyboard repeat rate on my
Red Hat 6.0 system has dropped to something rather slow. In my
opinion, holding down a key should make it repeat at roughly 0.5c,
so to me this is very annoying.
Restarting X doesn't cure it. Un/replugging the keyboard doesn't cure
it. (PS/2 keyboard, if it matters.) And I'd rather not reboot my
machine because it has an uptime of 112 days and by now it's the
principle of the thing.
Anyone know how I can restore my repeat rate to its former glory?
