IP Masquerading

I currently have two machines - One Linux and One windows.  They are connected Via a Hub and I have a modem on the Linux machine.  I am running Red Hat 6.1, so IPChains are already installed or at least I think so.  Anyways.  I then created an executable file called rc.network in /etc/rc.d/

I followed the guide that was in IP MASQUERADING HOW-TO.  This is a very simple masqing... Now, I want to setup a firewall.  Do I need to create an rc.firewall file too.  Also, since my rc.network file is in the /etc/rc.d directory will it automatically be loaded when I reboot.  This might be confusing... I but I am just now starting to get my feet wet with this Masquerading and Firewalling.  Any Help and Advice is greatly appreciated.
