RE: Actiontec cards in a Gateway Solo 2150 laptop

The chipset that Actiontec uses is the Lucent chipset so I will have to
atleast try that.. but I was going to be looking at an intergrated 10/100
56K card so I can connect my laptop to my home network. Any suggestions?

It might be worth it to try one of the Winmodem drivers, I know the one
for the Lucent chip set works. Not ideal, but it's better than nothing.

See http://www.close.u-net.com/ltmodem.html

On another note, are there any Winmodem PCMCIA cards? And has anyone used
one
of those cards that lets you add PCMCIA slots to a desktop machine? I'm
still looking for a way to wedge a whole bunch of Winmodems into one
machine for use as a PBX.
