RE: X-Windows Manager
My preferences are WindowMaker and fvwm.
A pretty GUI that I can configure to my liking, and a light weight window
manager that I can configure *exactly* how I want.

XFCE ==> http://www.xfce.org
GUI control panel, tear off menus, audio integration, etc... Without
the weight of KDE or GGGGNOMMEEE.

QVWM is nice if you want to look life win95, but XFCE is more
"operational", you can add menu items on the fly etc...
