QT installation and compiling

Hi, Gents & Gentleladies,

I'm trying to get xwmm to operate and to do so I need to have QT working
and an assignment of a path to QTDIR.  THe latter I've done but when I try
compiling the first simple QT- c(++) program in the qt tutorial, I get
several errors involving QPushbutton, etc. which should have been
recognized since I am in the QTDIR directory and have as the command to
compile:
g++ -I include hello.cc
Not often compiling in c or c++, I'm at a loss to know where to go next.
Any ideas?  Anyone tried any of the neat packages that depend on qt?
