Re: Window managers

I sent an SOS from my trying to install xfce, to which Bruce replied:

I had figured that part out.

Hmmm.  xinitrc does not mention .xsession, so how is .xsession accessed?

So run the windows manager and the desktop environment will follow?

What GUI login screen?  Ah, you are assuming that I want to start up with
X11.  Right now I am not doing so and so begin an X11 session with startx.
