Hello all,
I finally have BSware 6.1 installed with KDE as the desktop. First
problem. I cannot mount the floppy and the error message is:
mount wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0, or to many
mounted file systems.
I get this whether I use the the desktop icon or start a shell in root
and try the command line. Properties of the floppy icon do not list a
mount point. The floppy is a new Linux boot disc made at the install
last week.
Second problem. I cannot unmount the cd drive after mounting. The
error message reads:
umount: /dev/hdb is not in fstab (and you are not in root)
Do I need to mount/unmount every time I switch a cd/floppy or can I pop
them out after the drive stops?
Third problem. I cannot find the control panel! Ouch. Kind of hard
to do anything. I'm starting out reading Linux Red Hat for Dummies along
with the Red Hat Manual. Problem is the default for them is GNOME and
what I have is KDE. I will be switching but to XFCE at some point. So
where the manuals are telling me to find it is wrong.
Thanks, Peter
