This is one solution.  It is better to set up encrypted passwords on 
the Samba server than to disable such passwords on the client.  
Advanced NT functions (if you have a large network) will not work with 
unecrypted passwords.  Setting up encrypted passwords is extensively 
covered in the documentation.
