I have AT&T TCI @Home also, and from my understanding the only option I
had was to lease it from @home I also have the RCA modem. My monthly fee
$39.99 total a month. I jumped on whit a promotion that gave me free
installation plus two free months. The service is pretty good last
couple weeks it has been screaming. On occasion I visit
http://computingcentral.com/topics/bandwidth/speedtest50.asp to check
the speed and lately I have been getting close to 500kbps. MUCH MUCH
FASTER than ISDN.
I do have linux running on it. Although it is not 100 percent. I do
not have DHCP working yet, been running into problems with that. So
until the change ips on me I will be ok.
