Printtool simply write to a little file in the printers spool
directory. When you print a file it is read into a script that looks
in that little file to see how to process the job, such as what
ghostscript "driver" to use and any special ghostscript parameters.
That script will also handle sending it on to a SMB or Novell server
if you told it too in printtool. No real magic.

I'll send you the binary. I also have the src.rpm's of ghostscript
that I can also send if you like.

I
I've never heard of "IPCL" (the language of this printer), so I can't
really say.

The HP832C will work with the correct "driver".
