Question on BLT add-on

  I need BLT as a dependent to a program I'd like to run.  I installed 
  blt with RPM and should have blt and libBLT.so.2.  The program I'd 
  like to install says libBLT.so.2 is not installed.  If I use ls 
  libBLT* in /usr/lib I see libBLT.so.2@, libBLT.a@ libBLT24.so*, 
  libBLT24.a, and libBLT.so@ (with the libBLT.so in a red box).  What 
  are the @ and * indicating?  I've tried to erase with the RPM (both 
  BLT and libBLT) and the message is that they are not installed.  If I 
  try to install (install or upgrade) the message is that the files are 
  already installed.  Any suggestions?
