okay I did find out my version of 98 does carry vpn and i have it installed
with the client for microsoft netoworks and the dial up adaptor.  But still
trying to figure this out ! :)  I have a pretty good feeling i'm close, but
no cigar (as Clinton would say) if you have any suggestions that might help
out please speak up.
