A new look for our web site

Last night we launched the latest major change to our web site: A new home
page, complete with really fine graphics work, improved layout, and
dynamic Linux-Related headlines. We'll be adding more local events in a
feature area on the page as well.

Special thanks and kudos to Mat Crampton for this improved home page. I
know he has worked hard on getting the right mix of what are often
conflicting values, and he's raised the bar for quality presentation
values on out site, both for visual appeal and use of dynamic
technologies. This is an example of the work of a real WebMASTER. I urge
you to come on by and take a look, and your comments about this site will
be most welcome (to webmaster@kalamazoolinux.org).

Our website has seen several very worthwhile improvements over the last
couple of months, notably better meeting schedule page maintenance, the
ability to maintain multiple mailing lists, and a greatly expanded set of
links, indeed a whole section. More improvements are in the pipeline, and
as others can help out, we'll continue to use our website as another
focal point for our activities and skills. We've come a long way in
building an outstanding site, but also a great web TEAM.

Keep an eye on our site, it is changing and growing. We want your comments
and would like to include your suggestions, and perhaps your efforts as
well.
