Re: HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanx for your replies Andy & T. Bedlam
Andy wrote "Using redhat.. create the Dos/Fat32 partition(s) then
you should be able to just format the drive. This is
what I was able to do with RH5.2, so I'm not sure if
it will still work with 6.2."
I tried doing just that some time back but it still shows me about 7.7 gb
free on my extended dos partition when i try creating a logical partition. I
set 10 gb as a Dos/Fat32 partion (note that i have given linux only about 5
gb of 20gb) but dos says "U installed linux ..... so suffer"

partitions are the "equals" of primary partitions, i.e., you can only
have four per HD due to PC BIOS limitations. (That is right, isn't it?)
Any
number may be extended or primary, but remember dos must boot from a
primary"
I actually have two 20 gb hdd. So the dos booting is done on the first hdd.
Linux is installed on the second hdd. The thing is that i need about 10 gb
for windows, about 5-6 gb for linux and about 4 gb for Win NT. but fdisk
doesnt show me that i have that much space on my hdd (This is on the hdd
that Linux is installed)
