Nope.  The worst part is having to reboot (Yuck!) but shortly after
2.4 Linux will be self hosting which should solve that problem (You
can run multiple kernels).  There are step by step instructions for
upgrading the kernel on RedHat's web site.

Installing on a Compaq PC was bad enough.
