Lilo cannont boot an OS that is more that 1024 cylinders (or some
limitation) from the beginning of the hard drive. This is a weird
BIOS/IDE limitation. I'd wager this is one of them pile-o-gigabyte
drives? You'll have to boot from a floppy or create a small /boot
parition to install the kernel closer to the "head" of the harddrive.
The "latest" version of LILO is said to overcome this limitation so
you might want to look into that, but I heard that through the grape
vine, and don't know what it's worth yet.
