Re: Netscape
I use Mandrake 7.0 at work and RedHat 6.2 at home. Both are rock solid
(though i was nettled with the print problem I just solved). Mandrake
started out as RedHat with x86 optimizations, but i think it's grown into a
legitimate contender as a decent distro. i'd say both are very good, i'm
tempted to check out Debian, but i'm not inclined to join the Jihad.
Netscape 4.x basically sucks on Linux. It is constantly locking up on my
Linux box at work. I have experimented with different versions with
different library calls and am quite disappointed with its instability.
However, I've tried Mozilla M15 and it looks solid under both Linux and
Win32. Trouble is that Mozilla doesn't yet support Java. If anyone knows
howto get Mozilla to do Java under Linux, I'd be much obliged.
smiles and cheers,
steve
