So Bruce, if I choose to it without a hub I can just buy two NIC cards and
connect one to the other? I'm assuming this will be cheaper since I don't
have to buy a hub then.
I've been checking out the HOWTOs and getting a little confused, most are
written for networking on a large scale which I definitely won't be doing
here. Trying to keep it simple!
I was thinking that IP Masquerading would be my best choice? That way I
just have it going on the Linux box and the Windows box can share the
internet connection.
My only stumbling point will be getting the DSL going on the Linux box,
Ameritech isn't going to give me any support for that. However, since I
think they're just using a ethernet connection it should be a snap once I
have the network settings (domain name, network mask, DNS server, etc) right?
