I have a Matrox Millenium (old, I know) which tries to adapt itself to the
monitor. In fact, switching from console to X (or full screen DOS to Desktop
in that 'other' OS) is a bit of a pain, as every time I switch modes the
card and monitor (multisync MAG) take a few seconds to duke it out over
synch rates. :)

So, I won't burn the monitor until I have a chance to mess with vidtune, et
al. And this old HP was free and weighs 50 lbs (no kidding), so as long as
I'm not spending $50 on a cable when a new multisync 17" costs $200, I'm
happy. :)

Thanks, Bruce. I had hoped they would work.
