Good question. If "this" were a KLUG project, maybe a few people could 
take their favorite package?

Oh, I was thinking more of a slash and burn approach.  Drop all them 
inferior window managers (that is, all those besides XFCE), the KDE/Qt 
fiasco, Gnome panel applets (since they don't work with XFCE anyway, 
and GMC duplicates much of the functionality).

Most RPM's could be used "unchanged" I think.
