qmail vs. sendmail

While setting up sendmail I happened to stumble accross quite a bit of
information on the Net in regards to qmail supposedly being more secure than
sendmail. With security being a big issue to me, I want to know if there is
any validity to this claim.

One issue of the qmail vs. sendmail debate was that of sendmail operating
exclusivly as root user where qmail only operates as root user when needed.
I am going to continue to research this topic ... but does anyone else have
any information in this area ... it would be greatly appreciated.
