so i just spent a few minutes (30-40) doing a little
upgrade (or so i thought) from what was a "stock
RH6.1" to a BSWare6.1 install... no success... well
not yet, still giving me that same problem... i guess
i'm gonna have to stumble accross 6.2 somehow...

btw i've got 2.2.12-20 and no real way to get a newer
kernel... unless it's possible to use kernel source
from a diff distro... i do have a newer version of
SuSE floating around here... it has 2.2.14 on it, but
i don't know if i can essentially upgrade just the
kernel from one distro to another...

all in all i'm thinking it might be easier and better
worth my time to grab RH6.2, i'm just hesitant to
because 2.4 is right around the corner (as best i
understand) and i don't want to wait until Tuesday
(impatience is horrid) and i have to work late Tuesday
anyhow...
