Broken POP3 impolementation?
AS a user of fetchmail to download e-mail from my ISP via pop3, I was
quite surprised recently to get nothing for something like 18 hours. I
called my ISP, who informed me that I had 82 messages waiting. After
starting and stopping fetchmail several times and looking at the con-
figuration carefully (and no, I didn't recently change any aspect of my
configuration), I brought up K-mail (the KDE e-mail client), on a different
machine here, configured the POP3 panel with the same information fetchmail
had, and downloaded all that e-mail, just like that!
I do see that my ISP (ICS, now a part of Voyager) has changed things a bit,
but I thought that POP3 is POP3....
OK, anyone out there using fetchmail on a Voyager provider? Anyone see this
kind of problem in the past? Is fetchmail broken (I doubt it, but have to
ask), or has the ISP upgraded to a broken POP3 server?
