Just for clarity this same rule applies for offering
items for sale, promoting an event hosted by a for-
profit agency to which on is affiliated, etc...
It probably applies (this is a little more fuzzy) to
looking for a item/service to purchase (hey does
anyone have a 45GHz quantum processor for sale, etc...)
and inquiring about finding a position.
Certainly, however, a User Group is a great place for
these kinds of transactions to occur, but your best
methods would be either to attend a meeting (after the
presentation you can say anything you want pretty
much), look at the home pages of supporting members
(there is a list on the KLUG web page) as several people
provide such services, or to e-mail one or two KLUG
officers and ask if they know anyone who does things
like XYZ, I for one would not be offended by such
inquiries if they come to me PERSONALLY, and NOT via
the mailling list.
