Most such readers plug into the keyboard port and enter the string of numbers
just as if it had been entered (at least the ones I've used).  So almost any
application should work with these.  Basically you want to do a time in/out?

Seems like you just want to accumulate a list of card# and timestamp? Then, say,
at the end of the day some processes sucks it up and posts it to a work ticket?
