Thank you. I believe i spoke too soon
though. I should have read the file on the disk. (reading is
good). On another note. I did get RedHat 6.1 installed!! on the first
try!! This is a new record for me!! It usually takes about 4 or 5 tries for
anything!!

If you have access to a Windows computer, look
on your RedHat CD under the directory called "images" .You need to
write the boot.img image to a floppy using a program (also on the cd, called
\dosutils\rawwrite.exe). There's a file in the dosutils directory that
will tell you exactly how to use the rawrite program.
The README file on the root of the
CD was an awesome help to me when I first installed Linux. If you
haven't already, you may want to take a look at that.

have a quick question for all of u out there. I want to put Red Hat on an old compaq system. And the
cd-rom drive is not bootable. Where on the redhat disk do i find a
program so i can make a boot disk, and what do i do? Thanks in
advance.
