Download was successful! I do appreciate your kindness!
I was stumped momentarily by the SLOW FTP server... It
did work just fine! None of those files took over 30 seconds
to download... displaying the directory listing took 150 seconds!
I'll know what to expect next time! :) Reliably functional...
Sorry to get negative stuff going on the list. I am glad
for your strong personalities. I sit trembling that I am
going to piss somebody off... I keep quiet most of the time!
In my 33 years of computer "nerdship," I have been flamed
pretty hard... more than once.
I had John Beimler come after me with a vengeance in 1994.
His skills made life a bit uncomfortable for me. I had help
eventually from folks like Ian and Peter. He finally chilled
out. It was over a post I sent to the Yakko membership
about a government raid of a house in Calhoun County. I
thought it was news that everyone should know. He saw
me as spreading anti-government propaganda... he (like
me) is a proud American (nationalist?).
I liked what Adam said last night... "PEOPLE ACT WEIRD
SOMETIMES!" Me too! I mean well... it doesn't always
work out that way. Happens to us all!
