As I was flipping through the local (Lansing) classifieds the other
day, I saw that someone was sellng 15 former home depot POS terminals
for $1500 (no idea if that could be broken up and bought at $100
each). Don't know if the how you'd rig the bar code scanner from that
up to a computer or if the POS terminal itself could be hooked up to
your system, but it sounds like it could be a cheap solution.  Let me
know if you are interested and I can go back and dig up the phone
number.  I do remember it was 616 area code...

I think this is an excellent idea... now I just have
