Hi all
Iam a newbie and have a simple but frustrating
problem I cannot ping from my windows98 client to my linux box and visa versa
,which is running coral linux the network cards according to ifconfig are
correctly configured and I can ping to local nic.I am using a 3com 3c905b card
in the linux box and a d-link 220 pnp card in the windows client. I sure that
the problem does not lie in the cable or the hubs as i was quite happily using
win nt as a PDC before i thought to give linux a try and was using the same
win98 client.From my limited experence with linux I can say that I am
hooked but these initial teething problems are causing me considerable
frustration.Please could someone tell me what Iam doing wrong any help would be
apppreciated. Thanking you in advance.
