For what it's worth, Maxtor has a product that they ship with their HD that 
will automatically ghost existing (too small)  HD to the new, larger 
HD.  Don't know if it will work with non-Maxtor HD or if you are using a 
Maxtor.  Just set the new HD as master and old HD as slave on the same 
IDE.  The program is called Max Blast and can be d/l from the Maxtor web 
site. Good luck.
