That would be a true shame, I guess I'll have to get a copy of Tru64.
I would find it a bit surprising if Linux moved away from architechures
more common in 'high-performance computing' environments.  

Redhat may just be aiming for desktops up to small enterprise servers.

It would be shame, indeed.  At least the alternatives are inexpensive
for non-commerical use.
