New internet services at radioshack

I went in to radioshack to get one of those cue cat scanners and i was 
talking to the guy and he told me that just yesterday that there was a new 
type of internet service that was going to be sold. With unlimited uploads 
and downloads.  I down load 3 mp3's in less than 2 min.. He said that it was 
through satellite. And unlike Direct Duo you do not need to hook it to a 
phone line. It is going to cost 59.99 a month. but the catch is that you 
have to buy a computer for 999.99 (a compaq) unknown processor size right 
now that you have to pay 299.99 for the satellite then pay a unknown amount 
for installation(you must have it installed) and signup for a year of 
service. And the internet service is through MSN.

so to get a year of service it will be at least 2019.86 a year
or a 168.32 a month

I just wanted to know if any one else has heard anything about this?

And from what he told me it will not be able to be used in another os but 
windows me.
