The "-4" and "-21" means that these are patched versions, so 
the problem may no exists on these distrubitions (and then
again it might).  There has been mention of a patch that
fixes this problem, but I haven't chased it down yet (and
may not if 2.2 will be out soon, it takes over a month 
for the problem to become irritating and Samba takes about
20msecs to restart).
