Meeting 10-31-2000 - Games on Linux
Learn what's new in the world of gaming on Linux. Jeff dispelled last
year the myth that "gaming on Linux is nonexistent." This year join us
as we explore what's new on the gaming front, how the games compare in
time and speed from other platforms and what's new on the horizon.
Perhaps most importantly, where to find them! Remember the Raffle
drawing will be held tonight! Lots of goodies to choose from. Our thanks
to Turbo Linux and RedHat and a fellow LUG- MDLUG for the donations!
Jeff has been using Linux for a grand total of about a year, primarily
as a general purpose OS, but also at various times as a server, and for
IP Masquerading. He was helpful in showing some games during our
Halloween Bash last year, and is the author of many astute writings on
hardware on the KLUG mailing list. His occupation as a student at
Kalamazoo Cental HS protects the economy from whatever he has in mind,
and although it is not a title to brag about, at least it's temporary!
:)
He's been alive less time than some of the other KLUG members have been
programming, but he might catch up someday! A computer user for about 8
years. Starting very late, on an 8088 with 640k and DOS 3.3
