Re: Question about Apache server
Adam,
Thank you for your comments below.
You asked about Comanche. It is a GUI interface to manage your apache server. I got it on one of my machines but, I can not get that and Apache to work.
I was wondering does anyone else have Apaceh experiance. I would like to test it with some web site. If someone could walk me through this I would thank you.
I just downloaded, compliled and installed the latest Apache server 1.3.14
I also have Samba, Webmin, and Comanche running on my box.
I would like it, if someone could walk me through a couple of things. As soon as I can get a couple web site up, I am going to set my church up.
Thank you.

Yes. It installs, running, out of the box.

Yes, there is a module so Apache supports the Front Page publishing protocol.
Called web_dav or some such thing. Don't know much about it personally, Front
Page generates really lousy code.

Never even heard of it. What des it do?
>4. What would be the best software to manage Samba, Apache, and email?
Linuxconf (installs out of the box) or some people prefer webmin.

Phone time is very hard to come by, you can e-mail me privately if you like
(awilliam@whitemice.org), but this seems like an on-topic discussion for the
list. Since the list is archived all such conversations assist future users.
