Depends what else your running. If it is strictly a desktop box, i.e. NO
servers or crazy stuff, then >64Mb on a P1-233 with a "fast" video card will run
Helix "comfortably". Manipulating large graphics in GIMP, etc..., will be
painful, but basic operations can be quite snappy (did I mention a fast video
card). Toggling between accelerated graphics and not on my workstation caused a
significant change in performance. Just don't use more than a couple of apps at
a time.
