Appalled, would be a better word. WHo ever heard of having trouble

A machine of this vintage may has a maximum to the amount of memory it
can recognize in a bank. We have several Compaq's of that approximate
era and chip sizes greater than >32Mb are misreported. The widley
differing reported sizes mean you may have a clocking problem between the
Mobo and the RAM, also pandemic to Compaqs, you need to use memory very
near the specification recommended by Compaq, it will be less tolerant
of generic stuff than a "generic" mobo would be (intel, tyan, asus, ...)
