Re: Ameritech DSL
Hi There!
I'm currently using Ameritech's DSL services to connect my small
in-house LAN to the Internet. I've got a mix of machines, 4 total:
1) No-Name Pentium 133 running Linux RH7.0
2) Acer Aspire 333 running Linux RH7.0
3) No-Name Pentium 233 running Windows 95
4) AT&T Globalyst Pentium 100 running Windows 98SE
I thought about using Linux RH7.0 on the #1 machine to act as a router and
IP Masquerade machine, but lost interest when I looked at the howto to set
it up. So instead I bought a Netgear RT314 router and hooked it up, not
only does it serve as a great firewall but it does routing incredibly well
and setting up servers on the inside of the router is as simple as
defining one property sheet in the router.
Hope it helps!
