Computer Show
So to proceed, Please tell me what I am missing? What you would be willing to
volunteer to do.
1) Someone to contact a1scs and make arrangements for the show.
The next show is the Sat Jan 20th, which may be a little to soon to organize,
but I may be wrong.
2) A number (at least two, hopefully more) volunteers to man the booth.
I am willing to and Bruce is, schedule permitting. Any others?
3) A schedule of what time it is possible to arrive there and start setting up
a table and banner.
4) Do we provide a table or does the a1scs?
5) We have a banner. Now we need to get a method of hanging/displaying it.
I would rather this not hold us up. It could be draped over a table, not
optimal, but it would be easy, I work for an aluminum distributor and have some
ideas for a way to hang it. Any other methods, ways that would be inexpensive?
6) Eye candy. Maybe in the form of computers running Linux with something
visually appealing on it. I could bring my dualmon workstation,(it is a
difficult haul!) Bruce was willing to bring his laptop. But I am open to other
ideas. Are there games or anything else that someone can think of that would be
VISUALLY ATTRACTIVE. Does anyone have a video camera that knows how to set up a
program to show what the video camera sees? Ideas?
7) Distribution material. We really need some things written and copied off to
describe our organization and/or the open source phnomenon. The objective would
be to get people to jump on our website and or show up at a meeting/join the
mailing list. Can I get any volunteers to write something?
Is there anything else I am missing that people have thought of?
