Fw: Looking for an easy server

Hello people, My friend wants to setup a puter as a server for internet
access to share with his wife and children. I suggested possibly using Linux
( for security, stability , etc) and he is interested in doing that. Because
neither of us really know much about Linux , We ( well I ) was hoping you
might suggest the simplest , Distro, and method for not only accomplishing
this, but maintaining it as well. He has a 486, and a pentium if need be.
Disk space is limited ( somewhere around 600 megs. RAM will also be limited
16- 32 megs. A GUI wouldn't be nice, rather it will be necessary. Because I
suggested it, and know just a bit more than him,( Which really isn't much )
I am expecting to have to support this. So, I am basically looking for
something to install, setup, connect, and not worry about ( why I suggested
Linux in the first place). I told him that I would pose this scenario to
this brain trust and see what you could come up with for possible solutions.
