When you register a domain you have to say what domain server the master for that domain will be.  The domain server must be one registered with them.  Usually an ISP's DNS server is used.  The BEST solution is to register the domain with CORE (www.joker.com) which provides DNS services for registered domains.  Setting up your own registred DNS server to master your domain is probably NOT something you want to do.  

BTW, Internic/NSI suck.  Those guys are seriously #$&*&@^$ incompetent.
