ftp weirdness

OK...

I have a pretty normal Mandrake 7.1 server up and I've been using
ssh/ftp with great success.

My partner, who uses Win2K is having a rough time getting ftp to
connect.  He's tried windows command line, cuteFTP, ftpexplorer.. all
the clients seem to connect, then just sit there and time out.

Here's a snipped from the logs:
