Star Office not finding JRE

Hey all,

  I just installed mandrake 7.2 on a new computer and am working on 
configuring it and installing programs.  I tried to install the individual 
Star Office thing for my main user, josh, but received an error saying that 
Star Office could not find a java runtime enviroment to support java and 
javascript, and thus pgp.
   So, I installed the Blackdown JRE after adding a few libraries (unixOBDC), 
but Star Office still doesn't realize it's there.  Even when I try to navigate 
to the directory during the installation (I believe it's /usr/java) Star 
Office can't find anything.  Any idea what might be causing this trouble? Is 
there some java configuration step I missed?

  As an aside, I've always thought of mandrake and overly-user-friendly, but I 
have to admit that 7.2 is absolutely sweet.  Xfree86 4.01, KDE2... this is 
some cutting edge stuff.
