I actually use this quite frequently. The file is C:\Windows\lmhosts. That's
"lmhosts." with a . and no extension. You put entries in it like this:
10.0.0.4 Uncle
10.0.0.8 Frank
and etc. The Samba alternative is vastly more elegant, but you can use this
for a quick and dirty fix if you just want to try it out before putting a lot
of work into it.
