I have NOT installed Linux inside VMware, but... it is normal for a brand new
disk to display an "error" upon starting RH install, as the disk contains no
valid parition table,  and RedHat thus can't detect what is (or in this case
isn't) on the disk.  VMware can be a little spooky at times, but it does do
direct IDE drive emulation, so I'd ***assume*** your OK.  If it trashes your
Win2k partition... I don't remember ever sending this message.
