reiserfs and apache

So... 

I'm trying to run a system on reiserfs but when I make the reiser
aprtition, copy files over, reboot, etc... apache refuses to run!

It's on a Mandrake 7.2 system with Kernel 2.4.1

Any ideas?!??!
