One of the anonymous cowards (of ZDNet) posts, as Dirk Gently, that the GPL
is a virus that infects other code. I gather further, from AC's tone, that
this infection is malicious and victimizing. (I also gather that he has
never heard of leveraging off of GPL'd code and then replacing the GPL'ed
code over time. OpenBSD's Theo deRaadt has (ssh, I believe).)

(Semi-Biblical rant deleted.--ed.)

Okay, logic this time. Lessee:

1. By law, Y cannot release software with X's source code in it without X's
okay, implied or express.

2. M$ enforces this rule with their own source code.

3. FSF also enforces this rule with their own source.

Ergo,

4. M$ and FSF are equally Satanic. (Theo deRaadt might agree.)

BUT:

6. FSF releases this protected source code to public scrutiny.

7. M$ does not.

Ergo:

8. MS removes you from temptation by the nasty code.

9. To refuse to tempt people into sin/lawlessness is good.

Ergo:

10. M$/Bill Gates is good/God.

Well, I'm glad that's all cleared up. I feel so much better now.
