Hmm... IT Profressionals don't cuse at customers (well, not in emails or
in public at least <G>)
I'm willing to bet that he has a MCSE beside his name. He's also not a
forward thinker and unwilling to branch out and play a hunch on trying
something that just might be better.

I disagree a lot with his point here. If you are learning something new
for the FIRST time, then the learning curve should be about the same. Yes,
*nix might be a little more technically tougher to understand at first but
if you don't know any better, then what does it matter?
I'm a firm beliver that if you have an open mind, you can learn
anything... To me it's a bad day when I do not learn anything new.

I can half agree with his point here. Linux could use some improvement on
hardware support BUT it is getting better every day! Linux has only been
around 10 years now. Windows has been around 18 years (assuming 1983 start)
and STILL has hardware problems. The name "NT" comes to mind here....
It all depends on how you look at it. I love my Linux boxes a whole lot
more then I do Windows. I recently went back to a Windows desktop after
running Linux exclusively almost a year at home. I am fast discovering why I
left Windows to begin with - STABILITY!
Everyone has their own opinions, just so happens the person who wrote you
has a very closed mind.
Peace!
